# Appeals

> What to do if your content was rejected, removed, or your account was actioned.

## When to appeal

You can appeal if:

* A chat message was stopped and you believe the stop was applied incorrectly.
* Content you created was removed and you believe it did not violate the [Prohibited content](/policies/prohibited-content) policy.
* Your account was warned or suspended and you believe the action was based on a misclassification.

## How to appeal

Email [support@flamify.ai](mailto:support@flamify.ai) with the subject line **"Appeal"**. Include:

1. **Your account identifier** (email or username).
2. **What was actioned** — the content, chat, or character involved.
3. **Why you believe the action was incorrect** — reference the specific policy you believe was misapplied, and explain how your content does not violate it.

The more specific the appeal, the faster it gets resolved. "This is unfair" takes longer than "The classifier flagged this as `#incest` but the characters are unrelated — here's the description."

## What happens next

The team reviews your appeal against the **current policy**. Possible outcomes:

* **Upheld** — the original decision stands, and we explain why.
* **Overturned** — the content is restored or the account action is reversed.
* **Modified** — the decision is adjusted (e.g. a ban reduced to a warning).

## What we learn from appeals

Appeals are one of the best sources of signal for improving the moderation system. When an appeal reveals that a classifier is triggering incorrectly, the case feeds back into rule tuning. The work you put into explaining the issue does not go to waste.

## What is not appealable

Rejections for the following hard-limit categories are not overturned:

* Content involving minors (`#sexual_minors`)
* Content facilitating real-world crime (`#weapon`, `#drugs`, `#extortion`, `#manipulation`)
* Terrorism (`#terrorism`)

These categories are absolute. If you believe there has been a fundamental error (e.g. your account was confused with another), you can still write to [support@flamify.ai](mailto:support@flamify.ai), but the content itself will not be restored.
